PEOPLE’S OPEN MARKET AT BANYAN COURT MALL MOVES TO

KAMEHAMEHA COMMUNITY PARK

(Fri., Feb. 15, 2013) — The Department of Parks and Recreation’s traveling People’s Open Market will no longer stop at the Banyan Court Mall in Kalihi to offer their farm-fresh produce and unique local grown products.  Beginning tomorrow (Saturday), February 16, the People’s Open Market will be serving loyal customers in its new location at the Kamehameha Community Park, also known as Kam Field, 1400 Adelaide Street.

            The relocation is due to a change of ownership at Banyan Court Mall, according to Parks officials.  The market will be open from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. every Saturday at Kam Field.  “We want to thank everyone for their patronage and understanding of this very short notice,” said Ned Yonemori, Coordinator for Special Service Section, Department of Parks and Recreation.
