WATER CONSERVATION URGED IN KO OLINA (Mon., Jan. 21, 2013) – The City is asking all residents and businesses in the Ko Olina area to conserve water through this evening to facilitate repairs to a damaged pressurized sewer pipe, called a force main. Water users are asked to not excessively use toilets, sinks, dishwashers, washing machines and showers. A repair crew will be working into the evening to repair the force main at the West Beach No. 1 Wastewater Pump Station. The force main broke last night, and City crews are working using Vactor trucks and tankers to extract wastewater upstream of the break and redirect it downstream. -30-
