Satellite City Halls provide many government services and handle all vehicle registration and renewal transactions for the general public.   Effective Monday, March 5, 2012, anyone applying for an original or renewal of their Hawaii driver’s license or permit must show proof of legal presence in the U.S. Legal presence means that a person is either a U.S. citizen or is legally authorized to be in the United States. Act 38, Session Laws of Hawaii 2010, prohibits the issuance of a Hawaii driver’s license to any person that is not legally in the United States and limits the term of the issued licenses only for the period that the applicant is temporarily authorized to be in the United States.  For more information, please visit the State of Hawaii's Department of Transportation's Hawaii Drivers License Requirement website :  http://hawaii.gov/dot/hawaiis-legal-presence-law

NOTICE

Due the high volume of customers arriving near closing time, there are often times that we are not able to service everyone. You must be at the counter by our posted 4:00 pm closing time (5:00 pm for the Ala Moana and Pearlridge Satellites) to be serviced.  Remaining  customers will have to come back the next working day.  We recommend that you come in 2 hours before our stated closing time to assure proper service.
