Workshops

Interviewing for Success
Participants will develop strategies to effectively answer interview questions and will learn what employers are looking for in an employee.  Participants will also learn how to present themselves in an interview and learn ways to follow up on an interview.

 

Job Search Skills
Participants will develop effective job search methods and learn strategies to reduce the time it takes to find a job.


Resumes for Success

Participants will understand the purpose and uses of a resume.  They will be able to identify the different types of resumes and the basic components of a resume.  Participants will learn the tools to draft an effective resume that will present their skills and experience in a professional manner.  Participants will also understand the purpose and types of cover letters.

 

Self Discovery for Job Search and Retention
Participants will gain a better understanding of themselves through assessments.  They will be able to identify their skills, strengths, work values and experiences and apply them in their job search, preparing their resumes, and interviewing for a job.

 

Workforce Investment Act Briefing
This course is provides information on training options, career counseling services, partner programs, and priority and eligibility requirements.
