Here is a list of the agencies and organizations, both public and private, who we here at DTS work together with to fulfill your transportation services needs.

  • Transportation Commission

    The Transportation Commission is a seven-member commission which evaluates, reviews, and makes recommendations on matters pertaining to the Department of Transportation Services.
  • State Department of Transportation

    The Department of Transportation is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining State facilities in all modes of transportation, including air, water, and land.
  • Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization

    The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization, commonly called OahuMPO, is responsible for coordinating transportation planning on O'ahu.
  • Hawai'i Local Technical Assistance Program

    The Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) is a program of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). LTAP provides for local highway agencies' improved access to highway technology to meet the growing demands placed on local roads, bridges and public transportation.
  • Federal Highway Administration

    The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is charged with the broad responsibility of ensuring that America's roads and highways continue to be the safest and most technologically up-to-date. Although State, local, and tribal governments own most of the Nation's highways, FHWA provides financial and technical support to these governments for constructing, improving, and preserving America's highway system.
  • Federal Transit Administration

    As authorized by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users of 2005 (SAFETEA-LU), the FTA supports locally planned and operated public mass transit systems throughout the United States.
  • Mayor's Advisory Committee on Bicycling

    The Mayor's Advisory Committee on Bicycling is comprised of citizens who are interested in improving conditions for bicycling in Honolulu.
  • Committee for Accessible Transportation

    The Committee for Accessible Transportation provides counsel and advice to the Director of the Department of Transportation Services concerning the transportation goals and objectives for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
  • American Public Transportation Association

    The American Public Transportation Association serves as an advocate for the advancement of public transportation programs and initiatives in the United States.
  • Institute of Transportation Engineers

    The Institute of Transportation Engineers is an international educational and scientific association of transportation professionals who are responsible for meeting mobility and safety needs.
