The Classification and Pay Division is responsible for administering the City's classification and compensation systems and providing personnel management advisory assistance to departmental personnel managers and employees on a variety of classification, compensation and organizational issues. To accomplish this, we 

• Perform job audits and ensure positions are properly classified
• Establish new classes and determine pricing levels
• Conduct classification and compensation studies
• Conduct research on classification and pay matters
• Conduct organizational  reviews
• Establish compensation and classification policies, procedures and guidelines
• Participate in collective bargaining wage negotiations
• Develop salary adjustment recommendations for excluded managerial employees
