Industrial Safety and Workers' Compensation Division
The Division of Industrial Safety and Workers' Compensation (ISWC Division) has two primary responsibilities:
- Administer a City-wide safety and accident prevention program to comply with the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Law;
- Administer the City's self-insured workers' compensation program to comply with the Hawaii Workers' Compensation Law.
We believe that the people who work for the City and County of Honolulu are our most important asset and their safety our greatest responsibility. The Mission of the Division of Industrial Safety and Workers' Compensation is to reduce work-related accidents, injuries and workers' compensation costs; and to provide timely workers' compensation benefits and programs for returning injured City employees to productive work.
