MOCA announces a

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS for the

Art in City Buildings Program for

the McCully-Moiliili Fire Station

 



The Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts (MOCA) is requesting proposals for a work of art for the McCully-Moiliili Fire Station, 2425 Date Stree, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96826.  This request is open to all artists qualified to work in the the City and County of Honolulu.  Application deadline is January 7, 2015.  For more detailed information, including building plans of where the art will be displayed,

MOCA announces a REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS for the 2015 Mayor's Production Grant  and Operating Grant Program Awards.

 

The Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts (MOCA) is requesting proposals for the Mayor's Production Grants Level I and Level II; and the Operating Grant

 

Level I grants provides assistance to culture and arts organizations in the creation of newly developed artistic works or the preservation of cultural heritage

through new artistic works.

 

Level II grants provides assistance to culture and arts organizations for on-going works or the preservation of cultural heritage through artistic works.  Level II applicants must have received MOCA grant awards between FY2009 to present.

 

The Operating Grant is for culture and arts organizations seeking operating support. This grant was created in response to the needs of the performing arts community seeking operating support in creating and maintaining works of art.

 

 

The grants will be awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu for projects benefiting the people of Oahu.  Grant support is intended to provide partial funding for a project.  Grants are limited and highly competitive.  The deadline for proposals for both grants is Friday, November 14, 2014 at 4:30 p.m.

 

To be eligible for a grant, applicants must be tax exempt, publicly supported, and a charitable organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  Organizations may apply for either or both grants, however, will only be

awarded one grant.
