BJUR, Moana

Having resided on the North Shore for the past 16 years, the past 10 years in Mokuleia, it is important to me to do what I can to serve those that live here now as well as preserving our resources for the generations to come. An active resident of the North Shore I enjoy coaching youth soccer, being an avid steward of the land, as I strive to make a difference within our community.

 

SHIRAI, Thomas T. Jr.

Lifetime resident of Mokule'ia spanning several generations throughout Waialua District. Currently serving on NSNB (Sub-District 1). Active in Community and Cultural affairs. Employed by DOT at HNL as an Airport Operations Controller III for 20 years to present. Decorated USCG veteran for Search & Rescue.  Alumni of WHS c/o '79.

ESCORZON, Tammy Ann

I have appreciated my time and gained experience from serving you on the NSNB. I look forward with great enthusiasm and commitment to helping our community preserve its quality of life and listen to the concerns and issues that are important to each individual. Present member NSNB#27; past member NSNB#27, 20 yrs; born & raised North Shore; former Industrial Relations Director, Waialua Sugar Co; present Program Director, Oahu Rural Development; Moderator, Liliuokalani Protestant Church; various community organizations.

 

NG, Jacob Yick Wing

I will be seeking another term to focus on the watershed, flooding, environment, housing, and maintaining our country life-style.  Activities as Management Analyst, a Senior Legislative Aide, officers with the Waialua High School Foundation, Waialua Lions Club, Federal Credit Union, and Retirement Association, have provided me the ingredients to better serve the board and community.

 

PAHINUI, Kathleen M.

Strongly supports preserving the rural lifestyle of Waialua, promoting diversified agriculture and protecting our natural resources for our community. Vice Chair of the North Shore Neighborhood Board and Chair of the Homeless Committee.  Helped secure $750,000 in funding to aid homeless on the North Shore to find housing. Championed the Waialua Bike Path and the Waialua Town Master Plan. 

 

PALALAY, Isabel "Belo" F.

My name is Belo. I've lived in Waialua since '56. I retired with Dept of Agriculture HI in '96 after 33yrs of service. I'm a member of the Lions Club, Filipino Catholic Club, Pres. of Waialua Comm. Assoc, Filipino Catholic Presidents for Oahu Congress, & Board of Directors for Haleiwa Hongwanji & Waialua Credit Union. I have 4 children (all adults). I live with my wife, Linda Asuncion Palalay.

Much awareness of current & pending situations to be dealt with...I'm a 30+yr resident who REALLY CARES about all strata's of our community & wish to see the North Shore a place that is an example of a COMPLETE community that considers our natural resources & lifestyle as of paramount importance. ANDERSEN, Leif E.

I am a life resident of Haleiwa. I am a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard and a veteran of OEF. I am currently a member of the North Shore Neighborhood Board.

 

HUBER, Bart S.

I am a Haleiwa homeowner on the North Shore for past 35 years. Married with 2 adult children, retired Assistant Chief from HPD with almost 30 years service. Held police commands of North Shore area for over 6 years and served over 8 years on governor appointed state boards. Education includes Masters Degree in Public Administration and is familiar with issues facing the North Shore Community.

North Shore for 35 years, I'm dedicated to improving our community to create a sustainable and vibrant lifestyle for all of us. Pristine beaches, managed traffic flow, affordable housing, sustainable jobs and agricultural practices, are critical areas of concentration. I love this place we call home, and ask for your vote, so that I may continue to represent you on our Neighborhood Board. Aloha!

 

REID, Jack

Retired after 35yrs in the grocery business. My wife & I helped start our military ministry on the North Shore. Area Coord. for our neighborhood watch prog. Training to become a VSEO for the HPD Traffic Division. Love the aloha spirit of our island & want to be part of continuing the culture & heritage. There will be future changes & decisions that have to be made & I want to help in the process.

 

VEGA, Patrick L. Sr.

I am a current neighborhood representative who has the privilege of serving and working with fellow constituents to address any community issues or concerns, and wish to continue to support the community by being a candidate. I ask for your vote once again, as it has been an honor to represent the community.

SCOVILLE, Warren

Current (and sole) representative of the Kawailoa district (from Anahulu "Rainbow" Bridge to Waimea Valley), for almost 20 years. Still trying to "Keep the country COUNTRY" and "development" to an absolute minimum. I believe that less is more!!

BURLEW, Dave

North Shore organic farmer and businessman, college graduate formerly a student of UH Manoa and UH Hilo. I am aware of the issues the North Shore faces as we strive to find balance between economic growth and preservation of our rural character. I take great pride in the willingness to hear both sides of the issues and will use sound judgments in any decision making processes.

     

LEINAU, Roberts "Bob"

It's an honor to have served our community on the NSNB since its inception. I support "Keep the Country, Country". I am active with Malama Pupukea-Waimea which exercises stewardship at the Pupukea Marine Life Conservation District. I am a UH Master gardener & serve on the board of the NS Community Land Trust. My extensive network keeps me abreast of our community concerns. Vote! Mahalo.

 

MCELHENY, Blake D.

I was raised in Pupukea and my wife and I are raising three young children.  I have worked to support open government and sound land use decisions.  Working together as a community we can help this region be a better place to live, work, and play. We deserve safe parks, streets, and neighborhoods and it's important for this area to have additional infrastructure investment to benefit the public.

 

MILLER, Antya L.

Resident Waialua/Haleiwa 50+ yrs, Pupukea 32yrs.; Post grad Public Admin. Haleiwa business 20 yrs. Neighborhood Board since 2001. Advocate: Ag, historic preservation, Haleiwa walkways/parking, small business.  Interests: solving Laniakea traffic, preserving special character of North Shore, seeking balance between economic developments & retaining our local culture/heritage/lifestyle.

 

QUINLAN, Bill

Member of Board #27 since February, 2012. Retired Toy Industry Executive. Australian native, have lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong and New York. Our only child and his wife live in Mililani. Currently serve on these Boards: North Shore Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board for Malama Pupukea Waimea (Marine Life Conservation) and Ka 'Aha Hui Na'auao (Hawaiian Culture).
