FONOIMOANA, Kent K.

Current Kahuku representative to Ko'olauloa NB, sub district 01. Born, raised and educated on O'ahu's beautiful windward side. Kahuku C/O 1976. A.A. degree from Windward Community College. Attended BYU-H and Eastern Arizona College. Served a 2yr LDS mission to Samoa. Former Journeyman Carpenter, Executive Board member and Unit Chairman with Local 745. Current self employed small business owner.

 

MAKAIAU, Ralph K. Jr.

My current occupation is with the real estate division of Turtle Bay Resort as Senior Project Manager, large land developer planning.  I have served as the Chair for Kahuku Community Assoc. (sub-district 1) from 2008 thru 2012.  I have worn many hats with our schools, hospital, housing, also participated in the City's Sustainable Community Plan and BWS Watershed Plan.

 

MOEA'I, Kerry Saitia

I respectfully seek the neighborhood board appointment to represent the Kahuku Community. I have participated in community events and support the growth and development within our district. I am passionate about what can be achieved in our district and to be afforded the opportunity to collaborate with community leaders to meet the needs of the families that live in our community and district.

 

PRIMACIO, Junior

Born and raised in Kahuku. Graduated from Kahuku High. Former sugar plant worker. ILWU unit Chairman. Vietnam veteran. General Manager Kahuku Housing Corp. 40+ years in community affairs, water issues, planning, non-profit corp. and land management. Previously served on the neighborhood board and want to continue serving Kahuku and the Koolauloa communities.

LOLOFIE, Gaylene Nikora

I've lived in Koolauloa for 30 years and have over 25 years of Sr. Management experience in Human Resources.  I have first-hand knowledge of the struggles that families face when jobs & housing are limited. My goal is to provide an arena where our people can determine their own future & will actively listen to the voices in our community who wish to participate in the decision making process.

MOORE, Verla K.

Life-long resident of La`ie; Small business owner; Executive Director of Na Kamalei (pre-school for ages 0-3); Major in US Air Force Reserves with 38 years combined active duty and reserve service; Ko`olauloa Neighborhood Board Member/Chair for the last 2 years.

 

TAALA, Hans

Retired Army and retired from BYUH as Manager, Chief/ Director of Security. BS in Industrial Art at BYUH. Master in Business Management from Webster University Missouri.

GREENE, Burton Albert

U.S. Army LTC (Ret) with 24 years active duty & 12 years employed by the State DOE as a JROTC Army Instructor and Program Manager of 26 DOE schools with JROTC Programs. A HCA Board Member, HELP Committee Chair, & Hawaii Civil Defense Mass Care Council Member. Established the HELP Disaster Plan, a Red Cross Shelter, & a NOAA/NWS designated Tsunami Ready Community. BS & MBA Degrees.

 

HEATH, Kathryn Calef

Veteran public school teacher for English Language Learners, La'ie Elementary.  Parent of two young adults educated in public schools.  Supporter of eco friendly businesses; limited development in our rural communities; and improved infra-structures and park and recreation options for the community.  Concerned that the rights of residents and native people too often go unaddressed and unheard.

My name is Norman F. Thompson III, and as a 6th generation member of the Koolauloa community my ties to the people of Hauula are deep and far-reaching, a relationship I feel makes me an invaluable candidate for this position. I am a hard worker, am highly motivated, and given my strong ties to this community I will be fully invested in working towards the needs and desires of the people of Hauula.

My Goal is to continue to work for a balanced community that provides economic opportunities compatible with resident needs, the environment and the rural lifestyle of Ko`olauloa.
