AGADER, Dana

A life-long resident of Mililani Town/Mauka, who attended college and law school at UH Manoa, and the parent of two children, Dana is attuned to the issues facing our community, especially traffic/transportation, education, recreation and development.  As a long-term Board member, she is able to draw upon a wealth of experience and knowledge, and asks for your vote to continue this service.

 

COSTALES, Luella

Mililani Mauka resident since 1993, Member of: Mauka Neighborhood Board #35 since 2009; Mililani High School - School Community Council 2005-2013; Honolulu Police Commission 2012-present. Over 20 years of professional non-profit experience in the arts, education, agriculture, and community issues. Mother of 3 children who have all attended Mililani Public Schools (Mauka, Middle & High School).

 

HAZAMA, Dean I.

I have been Chair of Neighborhood Board 35 since 2008 and will continue to work closely with our government agencies/elected officials in making our community a better place to live and play.  I care about our community and remain committed to improve and maintain our schools, relieve our morning rush hour commute, and improve our parks.  I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming election.

 

HWANG, Joseph C.

I was born and raised in Oahu. I moved to Mililani Mauka, when I was four years old. I attended public schools at Mililani and then graduated Mililani High School on May 16, 2010. Hard work is something that I truly believe as a principle to be successful. My parents taught me the values of working hard because they came to Hawaii and worked their way up. So I know how to be hard-working.

 

LAU, Teresa K.

UH grad with BEd. & MEd. degrees; Retired teacher; Experienced Board member: NB#35(9½ yrs.-incumbent), Assn. of Apt. Owners of Olaloa (5 terms-currently VP), League of Women Voters of Honolulu (2005 to present), Secretary for HSTA-R. It has been a privilege to serve on NB#35 with your support. I will continue to work toward resolving concerns re: education, traffic, crime and environment. Mahalo!

 

NAKASONE, Shelly M.

Since 2010, I have actively participated in this open forum for our community & have thoroughly enjoyed this experience! It would be my honor to continue in this work, to listen to proposed changes that affect our residents, to ask questions to bring out the facts & to represent our residents' viewpoints, as a liaison to the State & City representatives. I humbly ask for your support...Thank you!

 

OISHI, Stanton

Born and raised on Oahu, Stanton has resided in Mililani Mauka for nearly 10 years, and has served on the Board for nearly 5 years.  His civil engineering degree from Cornell University and experience as a land use/real estate lawyer give him insight into the mechanics of the problems our community faces with traffic and development.  He asks for your vote to continue to serve our community.

 

SUWA, Alan

I have lived here for 20 years raising 3 children. Having worked for the Federal, State and City, I understand the legislative and agency roles. As a professional land planner, I am familiar with zoning, permits, environmental and traffic studies. On my fifth term, I encourage community participation and awareness, and appreciate the qualities that make Mauka a great place.

 

TADDA, Rosalie M.

 

TAMASHIRO, Keith Y.

Experienced member of the Mililani Mauka NB.  Combat Veteran - Iraq War.  Colonel and former BDE CDR in the HI National Guard.  Supervisor for an Employment Program with the Dept of Human Services.  Masters Degree in Strategic Studies. Extensive leadership positions in government and community organizations. Effective listener with positive energy, ability to inspire others and a team player.

 

YOSHIMURA, Lance K.

Presently a member of NB #35 and have served as a member with short intermittent breaks since 2003. Have been a resident of Mililani Mauka since 1992, its beginning. Married with three children grown in Mililani with 2 attending Mililani H.S.  Was extensively involved in COYBL, Waipio LL, AYSO, and community volunteer work.
