BANNAN, Jim

I have lived in the area for the past 45 years.  I am married with two grown children (both RHS grads).  For 13 years I served as a Counselor at Stevenson Intermediate and retired from DOE after 25 years of service. I then worked 14 years with PREL providing distance throughout the Pacific. Currently, both my wife and I are retired.  I have served on the Neighborhood Board for over 12 years.

 

BRIANS, Mark Anthony

Mark Anthony Brians graduated valedictorian from Kaiser High School before spending four years at Hawaii Pacific University. He graduated May 2012 with a BA in Communication. He has been active in the community, interning at the State Legislature, working at the grassroots level, serving regularly in the religious and non-profit sectors. He has a passion for local Hawaii and the neighborhood.

 

CHIAPPERINO, Peter

Peter has been a resident of Hawaii for 8 years.  As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and Disney University, it allows him a uniquely diverse perspective on issues in the community. Peter volunteers at the Waikiki Aquarium as a docent, and also holds interest in the Nuuanu Valley auwai system.

 

DUAX, Joseph Andrew

Joe Duax was born in 1982 in Illinois, and now lives on Lusitana in his wife's childhood home. He earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois, and then moved to NYC to work for a non-profit dedicated to social justice. In NYC he earned a second B.A. from Columbia University. Duax has worked with non-profits over the past 7 years, and now works in the development office at St. Andrew's Priory.

Goal: 4th generation Pauoa Valley home owner and resident. Retain the lifestyle if the district for the 5th & 6th generation of my family with improvement to our infrastructure without infringing on the rights to live with quiet enjoyment.

HIDANO, Audrey

I am currently an active Board member who is concerned about crime, traffic, environment and education. Come from a business background. I am involved in the community. Eager to learn. Willing to serve, work hard and devote the time. I will keep up with the new and changing issues in our neighborhood and community.

KURASHIGE, Paula S.

Incumbant-1992-2008&2011-2012. Northwestern Uni-Physical Therapist. State DOE consultant. 3 children 10 gr/2 grdr; Peace Award; NSW 1989-Present; Increase community servs. Pust for fire hydrants-Wood/Alika; Decrease speeding in school zone & Nuuanu neighborhood; volunteer for hospice; push for prevention of injuries; founding member of Awai/Stream committee; puts to stop median closure at Wood St.

 

NERNEY, Philip S.

Thank you for allowing me to serve since 2003. I presently chair NB12 and make the effort to do so in the best interests of the community. My wife and I have lived in Nuuanu since 1997 and I am familiar with issues of concern to the community. I hold undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Hawaii and a master's degree from Chaminade University. Your vote will be greatly appreciated.

QUADRI, Muhammad Anwar

Public Health Educator/ Counselor/Public Health Professional.13 years experience as a Health Educator. Master of Public Health (MPH) Sep 1998 - May 2001, from University of Connecticut, School of Medicine, Farmington Connecticut. Current Job: Working as a Public Health Educator at the Hawaii State Department of Health, 1250 Punchbowl Street # 217, Honolulu HI 96813 since January 2005.
