The Department of Parks and Recreation invites you to its 24th Annual TALK STORY FESTIVAL, Hawai'i oldest and largest storytelling celebration, features Hawai'i's best storytellers (and a few guests). For TWO FREE nights October 19 & 20 in the McCoy Pavilion's Auditorium, in the middle of the tennis courts at Ala Moana Beach Park. Nine storytellers a night do 20 minute sessions.

Mainland Guests: Eth-Noh-Tec (California) - duet performs Asian folktales.
Local tellers (both nights):: 'Tita' Kathy Collins (Maui), Pat Masumoto (Maui),
Daniel A. Kelin II (Honolulu Theater for Youth), James McCarthy (guitar man).
Also: Lopaka Kapanui (ghost tours), Shain Miller (Ong king), Ed Chevy (deaf teller),
Kilohana Silve (hula & story), Yasu Ishida (Japan), Selah Geisler (slam poet).
All tour Oahu & Neighbor Island schools & libraries the following weeks.






Gifted Sign Language Interpreters each night: Michele Morris (Fri & Sat), Tamar Lani (Fri) , Inga Park (Sat).
Video documentation is projected on the side of the stage. Active lighting color all tells.
Gates open at 5:00 p.m. Big crowds are expected so do come early!
