FOREWORD

This compilation of resolutions attempts to identify all resolutions that reflect the policies of the City and County of Honolulu as established by the City Council.

The resolutions identified in the “Subject Area Quick Index” were determined to be “policy resolutions” because each resolution indicates the council’s intent to provide policy guidance to city agencies responsible for the implementation of present and future programs and activities of the city. The Index is followed by a chronological listing of resolutions, “List of Resolutions,” which identifies the resolutions, copies of which are included for your easy reference.

The resolutions in this manual can also be found on the city’s website at , or at the council information desk of the City Clerk.

This compilation will be updated periodically to maintain its usefulness.
