EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS) WEEK
EMS Week honors the lifesaving care that EMS providers offer to their communities nationwide, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. EMS Week is observed annually during the third week of May.
During the 2001 observance of EMS Week the City and County of Honolulu EMS Division will be providing information, education and activities during the week at locations on Oahu. Celebrate EMS Week and learn more about the city's paramedics!
May 21 at Kahala Mall (Stage area) from 10 a.m. _ 8 p.m.
OTHER: The EMS Division wants to hear from you. If you (or anyone you know) were born in an ambulance or if your life has been affected for the better by the City and County's Emergency Medical Services team, please contact Chris at 831-4383, M-F between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Your personal experiences will be used to educate the public of the life saving services EMS provides each day.
The City and County's Department of Emergency Services provides emergency medical services under contract to the Health Department, State of Hawaii, which took over the EMS services state-wide several years ago.
