          There will be a news conference on Tuesday, October 23, at 1:30 p.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room.

            Mayor Jeremy Harris, joined by Mayor Kimo Apana and Maryanne Kusaka, will announce a grassroots “Friends In Hawaii” program to help stimulate travel to Hawaii among friends and family of island residents.

            The mayors will explain how the outreach program, which fosters a “one-on-one” approach, can have a big impact in helping local businesses that serve the visitor industry.  Representatives of the visitor industry will also be present.
