MAYOR HARRIS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM PUBLIC ON LIVE TV BROADCAST
Mayor Jeremy Harris and members of his cabinet will be on live television to answer questions from the community regarding the impact to the city in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
“Many citizens are concerned about their security, judging from the calls I have been receiving, and their worries are understandable,” said the Mayor. “The best way to allay these fears is to directly answer any questions they might have.”
The live broadcast will run October 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Olelo Channel 54. Call-in questions will be taken at (808) 523-CITY (2489) and given to the Mayor and his staff for an on-air response.
The event will be also be simultaneously broadcast on the city’s website. Viewers can to http://www.co.honolulu.hi.us/mayor/speech, where they can also ask questions live on the website using a chat program on the web page.
