A four-year-old Ewa boy who saved a playmate from drowning late last year was honored as a hero by Mayor Jeremy Harris in a special ceremony on February 27.

The young hero is Noah Oleyer, the son of Barbie and Ron Oleyer. Last November, Noah dove into a swimming pool to save his friend Eola Liwai Manoa, who is also four years old. Noah was presented with a “Honolulu Hero” award and was honored by the Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services Department in recognition of his lifesaving action.
