CITY TO PROVIDE BUS SERVICE TO PUNCHBOWL CEREMONY ON DEC. 7, 2001
The City will provide special bus service for those who wish to attend the Pearl Harbor memorial ceremonies at Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific on December 7, 2001. Normal bus fares and bus passes will be in effect.
Mayor Jeremy Harris said, “I strongly recommend that people use our bus system, because parking will not be allowed in the cemetery during the ceremony. We are allowing riders to park free of charge at the City’s Alapai Street lot, next to the bus stop, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.” The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and should end at about 11:45 a.m.
Buses will leave Alapai Street for Punchbowl at 9:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. that morning.
At about 15 minutes after the ceremony concludes, return buses will leave Punchbowl for Alapai Street.
