SUNSET ON THE BEACH UPDATE (for Sat., Dec. 8 and Sun., Dec. 9)
Enjoy the Hawaiian sunset from world-famous Waikiki Beach. Relax with a cool beverage and pupus, entertainment on the Hawaii Stage from 4 – 6 p.m. and a dramatic torchlighting ceremony. Picnic on the beach with a wide selection of flavorful and nutritious food from Oahu’s outstanding restaurants and watch featured films on a 30-foot screen with Diamond Head in the background. Where else, but at beautiful Queen’s Surf Beach; what else, but Honolulu’s own Sunset on the Beach.
Mayor Jeremy Harris, in cooperation with Waikiki Improvement Association, Hawaii Restaurant Association, News 8-NBC Hawaii and K5-The Home Team, announces the coming attractions for this weekend.

* These films have been selected as a salute to events occurring this weekend: 60th anniversary of Pearl Harbor…Elvis Presley, who raised funds for the Arizona Memorial…and the families of the New York fire and police officers who were affected by the events of September 11.
