NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 2, 2001Mayor Jeremy Harris invites all Hawaii residents 14 years or older and military personnel stationed in Hawaii to participate in the City’s annual Water Quality contest. Entry forms must be submitted by November 30 and are available at all Satellite City Halls, the Zoo, and City recreation centers. They will also be published in the Downtown Planet and other publications. People can also enter online at the City’s environmental website at http://www.cleanwaterhonolulu.com/. Residents and military personnel can win valuable prizes from Hawaiian Airlines, McDonald’s Corporation of Hawaii, Outback Steak House, and many other great prizes. This contest is designed to both educate residents and determine how much they know about polluted runoff or nonpoint source pollution. Ten questions must be answered in order to be eligible for a prize. Correct answers will be posted on the environmental website after the contest ends.
