FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AIEA-PEARL CITY Residents of Aiea and Pearl City will have an opportunity to review draft plans for their communities at a meeting on Wednesday, November 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Pearl Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria. The proposal includes integrating such assets as Town Districts for Aiea and Pearl City and mauka-makai connections to the Pearl Harbor shoreline. The draft also incorporates landscape concepts for major roadways, roadway and pedestrian/bicycle improvements to enhance circulation, and additional traffic calming locations. The document is the product of feedback from three community vision workshops and meetings held in 2001, combined with a community mail-in survey.
