One of the most popular events in Hawaii, Brunch on the Beach, returns to Waikiki on Sunday, November 17, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Once again, Kapi`olani Park will be transformed into a festive outdoor café with bright blue umbrellas, the best entertainment, and brunch delicacies.
Guests will enjoy an extensive menu of chef’s signature appetizers, entrées and desserts at incredible prices. Here’s a sampling of the dishes Hawaii’s finest chefs will prepare at the park. The Hau Tree Lanai will serve Thai Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce, Coconut Rice and Asian Slaw at $4.00. Restaurant Fuji will offer a Sushi Plate (California and Tuna Rolls) or Garlic Chicken Plate for $5.00.
The Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki will serve Eggs Scrambled with Kalua Pig, Maui Onions, Kona Tomatoes, and Cheese served with Steamed Rice, Crispy Mango and Cheese French Toast with Strawberry Coulis, for just $5.00. Executive Chef Chip Hawkins will also serve a Kalua Duck Napoleon with Shredded Duck, Diced Tomatoes and Micro Greens Layered between Crunch Won Ton with Miso and Hoisin Vinaigrettes for $4.00, and a Mile High Kona Coffee Ice Cream Pie for $3.00.
Seafood Village will feature a “Cold Ginger Chicken Plate” with dim sum (Chinese dumplings) and Chow Mein noodles for $5.00. Antonio’s Steak Seafood Pasta will grill Barbeque Baby Back Ribs and serve them with Potato Macaroni Salad and Steamed Rice for just $5.00.
Free entertainment at the Kapi`olani Park Bandstand begins with a medley of classical, popular and Hawaiian arrangements by the Royal Hawaiian Band at 10:00 a.m. The beautiful keiki of Hâlau Hula Olana will take the stage at 11:00 a.m.
Kapena, multi-award winners will perform their spirited foot-stomping music at Noon. And, the fabulous Society of Seven LV will headline this Brunch on the Beach at 1:00 p.m. with their high-energy spectacular Lion King and Holiday shows.
Nowhere can you enjoy entertainment like this. Don’t miss Sunday’s Brunch on the Beach at Kapi`olani Park. There will be no Sunset in December; the next event is scheduled for January 19, 2003.
