FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Patti Kimoto, 527-6060 November 18, 2002 CREW HARVESTS CITY’S CHRISTMAS TREE City workers from the Department of Parks and Recreation, Urban Forestry Division, will harvest the City’s 60-foot Norfolk Pine at 8 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, November 19) at the Maka’unulau Community Park, 95-800 Maka’unulau Street in Mililani. (Take Mililani Town Exit from H2; turn right on Meheula Parkway; left at stoplight on Kuahelani Avenue. The park is on the corner of Kuahelani and Maka’unulau Street on the left.) The harvesting is expected to be completed by 9 a.m. Thereafter, the tree will be loaded onto a flatbed truck and transported to the Alapai yard across of Honolulu Hale. Crews will install the tree on Thursday, November 21, at 11 a.m. on the front lawn of Honolulu Hale. ### -30- |
