          Honolulu Mayor Jeremy Harris announced the appointment of Eric Crispin as Director of the City’s Department of Planning and Permitting.  Crispin replaced Randall Fujiki, who left the City to return to the private sector at the end of October.  Prior to that, Mr. Crispin served as the Deputy Director of the Department of Design and Construction. 

           “Eric is a talented planner and architect who brings a great deal of private sector and international experience to the position,” said Mayor Harris.  “He is very well versed in the planning and permitting process, has an in-depth understanding of design and construction and is a talented manager.  I am confident that he will excel in this position.”

           Mr. Crispin is a graduate of Punahou School and earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in Brazil at the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo de Santos in Sao Paulo.  He holds licenses in Architecture in both Brazil and Hawaii and has over a decade of experience in planning, design and construction of major public and private commercial projects.  In the private sector, Mr. Crispin has been the Development Manager at GMR, Senior Architect at Leo A. Daly, Inc. and an associate at Group 70 International.
