2002 FIREWORKS PERMITS TALLY EXCEED 2001

            Satellite City Halls throughout the island have reported a total of 119 fireworks permits sold for the Fourth of July, exceeding last year’s total of 89.

            The tally is as of 4:30 p.m. today (July 3), which is when most Satellite City Halls close their doors.  Facilities at Pearlridge, Ala Moana and Windward Mall shopping centers will not report final totals until after they close at 5:45 p.m.
