RAIN DELAYS HANAUMA BAY OPENING ONE DAY 

            The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will be reopened to the public on Thursday (May 2) rather than May 1, because of a delay in construction today caused by rain. 

            The wet conditions raised safety concerns with the contractors, who are completing landscaping and major paving and roadway work at the site.  The work is expected to resume tomorrow and the opening of the popular attraction is expected to be delayed only one day.
