PRE-OPENING ACTIVITIES

3:00 p.m. - Food booths open to public. (Choose from Hawaiian plate, Filipino favorites such as Pork Adobo and lumpia, local plate lunches, hamburgers, fish and chips, Portuguese bean soup, clam chowder, candy apples, roasted nuts, fried ice cream, saimin, munchies, and much more!)

3 – 5:30 p.m. - KCCN-FM100 Stage features the best in local entertainment with deejays Billy V., Charly and Pipi. Contests and prizes.
OPENING NIGHT PROGRAM

6 – 6:30 p.m. - Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mayor Jeremy Harris, the Honolulu Boy Choir and special guests

6:00 p.m. - Public Workers Electric Light Parade sponsored by the Hawaiian Electric Company leaves Aala Park and makes its way down King Street to City Hall arriving at 6:25 p.m.

6:30 p.m. - Doors of Honolulu Hale open officially for public viewing of Christmas and wreath exhibits. Thereafter, public may view exhibits daily from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

7:30-9 p.m. - Santa arrives at City Hall to listen to children’s wishes and photo taking. (Fujifilm Hawaii sponsors free photo taking for Opening Night only.) Santa will visit City Hall nightly until January 5 following special evening concerts in Honolulu Hale Courtyard. (Call Culture & Arts, 527-4674 for schedule.)

7:30 – 9:45 p.m. Star-studded Holiday Concert by Tom Moffatt Productions. Featuring Dita Holified, Sistah Robi Kahakalau, Jake Shimabukuro, Forte, Fiji, ‘Ale’a and Jennifer.
