MAYOR HARRIS STATEMENT ON LIQUOR COMMISSION

Mayor Harris said today that he feels that the Liquor Commission should be turned over to HPD.  However, in discussions over the last year with Chief Lee Donohue, itís clear that a large number of organizational, staffing and charter issues would be triggered by such a reorganization.

The Mayor and Chief Donohue will continue to study the idea.
