CITY EXTENDS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE PRIMARY URBAN CENTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN

City has extended to November 30 the deadline for public comment on the Primary Urban Center Development Plan.  The Plan outlines the vision Oahu residents have articulated for the development of Honoluluís most densely populated region over the next 23 years.  The original deadline of September 30 was revised in response to requests from the community.

After the new deadline has passed, the Department of Planning and Permitting will review public input and develop recommendations for changes before submitting the draft plan to the City Planning Commission.  The Commission will then hold a public hearing and make its recommendations to the City Council.

Released in August, the public draft is the culmination of six years of work and reflects the extensive involvement of the community in the City planning process.
