ROAD WORK, PARADES AND OTHER STREET ACTIVITIES

The departments of Facility Maintenance (^FM) and Design & Construction (^DC), and the Board of Water Supply (^WS) have scheduled the following roadwork for the week of March 31 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Estimated completion date is in parentheses.

Continuing Projects:

Aiea: Curb ramps at Laumima Street (Completion by 5/02) ^DC

Rehabilitation of Aiea Heights Drive. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Haleiwa: Install water lines and equipment along Haleiwa Road, Kaika Place, Nalimu Road, Naoiwi Lane, Niuula Road and Walikanahele Road. (Completion by 6/02) ^WS

Hawaii Kai: RMY Construction, Inc. is installing an eight-inch main along Hawaii Kai Drive, from Pohoiki Place to Pepeekeo Street, and four-inch mains along various side streets in between. In addition, the contractor will install a 12-inch main along Kawaihae Street from Kalanianaole Highway to May Way, and eight-inch mains along May Way from Maunalua Avenue to Makaniolu Place, and along the entire length of Makaniolu Place. (Completion by 12/ 2002) WS

Honolulu: Reconstruct King Street from Liliha Street to River Street and Bethel Street to Richards Street. The work will be done March 7 – 10 day and night. (Completion by 7/02) DC

Install new water main on Dillingham Boulevard between Waiakamilo Road and Lilihia Street. (Completion by 9/02)^WS

Reconstruct Nuuanu Avenue, Nuuanu Pali Drive, and Booth Road. (Completion by 6/02) ^DC

Curb ramps at various locations downtown (Completion by 5/02).^DC

Construct sewer line on Lusitania Street from Pauoa Road to Auwaiolimu Street. The street will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. (Completion by 5/15/02)^DC

Reconstruct curb and gutter and install detectors at Ward Avenue and Kinau Street. (Completion by 7/26/02) ^DC

Reconstruct Alewa Drive and Alencastre Street. (Completion by 9/02)^DC

Kahala: Renovation of Kealahou Street. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Kahuku: Pualalea Street improvements. (Completion by 4/02) ^DC

Kaimuki: Curb ramps and widened sidewalks along Waialae Avenue (Completion by 4/2/02)^DC

Kaneohe: A 42-inch water main with fire hydrants is being placed along Kahekili Highway from Ahuimanu Road to Haiku Road and from Kulukeoe Street to Likelike Highway, Likelike Highway from Kahekili Highway to Kamehameha Highway. (Completion by 6/8/02) ^WS

Manoa-McCully: Reconstruct Manoa Road, Oahu Avenue, Dole and McCully streets. ^DC

Makiki: Mott Smith Drive repaving. (Completion by 8/02)^DC

Moiliili: Install 8-inch water mains on (Completion by 7/02) ^WS

Kaaha Street from Kapiolani Boulevard to Kaaloa Street;

Kaaloa Street from Kaaha Street to Nakookoo Street;

Nakookoo Street from Kahuna Lane to the end;

Kahoaloha from Nakookoo Street to Kuulei Lane and Kahuna Lane.

Pearl City: Reconstruct Waimano Home Road from Komo Mai Drive to end. (Completion by 8/02)^DC

Sunset Beach: Install 12-inch to 16-inch water main along Kamehameha Highway from Paumalu Place to Kahae Road. (Completion by 12/02)^WS

Wahiawa: Rehabilitation of Nonohe Street between California Avenue and Puninoni Street, Puninoni Street and Royal Palm Drive. (Completion by 8/02)^DC

Waialua: Install water lines along Aikaula, Haona, Kanalu, Kuoha, Naluahi and Nauahi streets and Goodale Avenue. (Completion by 6/02) ^WS

Reconstruct Kaukonahua Road between Kamehameha Highway and Wilikina Street and Wailaua Beach Road between Kuoha and Au streets. (Completion by 9/02)^DC

Waianae: Reconstruction and resurfacing of Lualualei Homestead Road between Pokai Bay Street and Hale Ekahi Drive, Paakea Road, between Hakimo Road and Mailiili Road, and Makaha Valley Road. (Completion by 8/10/02) ^DC

Waipahu: Rehabilitate Waipahu Street between Kunia Road and Mahoe Street. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

April 3, 2002 Wednesday 6:30PM Starts 8:30PM Ends	Salute to Youth Parade sponsored by The World of Pageantry. The event will have 1,000 marchers, 6 vehicles, 2 floats, 12 bands.
