The departments of Facility Maintenance (FM) and Design & Construction (DC), and the Board of Water Supply (WS) have scheduled the following roadwork for the week of February 17 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Estimated completion date is in parentheses.

Continuing Projects:

Aiea: Curb ramps at Laumima Street (Completion by 5/02) DC

            Rehabilitation of Aiea Heights Road (Completion by 8/02) DC 

Haleiwa: Install water lines and equipment along Haleiwa Road, Kaika Place, Nalimu Road, Naoiwi Lane, Niuula Road and Walikanahele Road. (Completion by 6/02) WS

Honolulu: Reconstruct King Street from Liliha Street to River Street and Bethel Street to South Street. The North King Street section includes the replacement of a 24-inch water main. (Completion by 7/02) DC

            Reconstruct Nuuanu Avenue, Judd Street, Booth Road and Nuuanu Pali Drive. (Completion by 6/02) DC

            Curb ramps at various locations downtown (Completion by 5/02). DC

                        Construct sewer line on Lusitania Street from Pauoa Road to Auwaiolimu Street. The street will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday Friday. (Completion by 5/15/02) DC

            Reconstruct curb and gutter at Ward Avenue and Kinau Street. (Completion by 7/26/02) DC

Kahala: Renovation of Kealahou Street. (Completion by 8/02) DC 

Kaimuki: Curb ramps and widened sidewalks along Waialae Avenue (Completion by 4/2/02) DC 

Kaneohe: A 42-inch water main with fire hydrants is being placed along Kahekili Highway from Ahuimanu Road to Haiku Road and from Kulukeoe Street to Likelike Highway, Likelike Highway from Kahekili Highway to Kamehameha Highway. (Completion by 6/8/02) WS

   Reconstruction of Kaneohe Bay Drive from Kaimalu Place to Mokapu Road. (Completion by 3/02) DC

Makiki: Mott Smith Drive and Punahou Street repaving. (Completion by 8/02) DC 

Kapahulu: Reconstruction of Monsarrat and Mooheau avenues. DC 

Manoa-McCully: Reconstruct Manoa Road, Oahu Avenue, Dole and McCully streets. DC

Moiliili: Install 8-inch water mains on (Completion by 7/02) WS

      Kaaha Street from Kapiolani Boulevard to Kaaloa Street;

      Kaaloa Street from Kaaha Street to Nakookoo Street;

      Nakookoo Street from Kahuna Lane to the end;

      Kahoaloha from Nakookoo Street to Kuulei Lane and Kahuna Lane.

Pearl City: Rehabilitation of Waimano Home Road from Komo Mai Drive to end. (Completion by 8/02) DC

        Curb ramps at various locations. (Completion by 5/02) DC

Sunset Beach: Install 12-inch to 16-inch water main along Kamehameha Highway from Paumalu Place to Kahae Road. (Completion by 12/02) WS

Wahiawa: Rehabilitation of Nonohe Street between California Avenue and Puninoni Street, Puninoni Street and Royal Palm Drive. (Completion by 8/02) DC

Waialua:  Install water lines and related equipment along Aikaula, Haona, Kanalu, Kuoha, Naluahi and Nauahi streets and Goodale Avenue. (Completion by 6/02) WS

                 Rehabilitate Kaukonahua Road and Waialua Beach Road. DC

Waianae:  Reconstruction and resurfacing of Lualualei Homestead Road between Pokai Bay Street and Hale Ekahi Drive, Paakea Road, between Hakimo Road and Mailiili Road, and Makaha Valley Road. (Completion by 8/10/02) DC

Waikiki: New sidewalk, curb ramps, streetlights and traffic signals along Ala Moana between Kalia Road and Kalakaua Avenue (Completion by 2/25/02) DC

Waipahu: Rehabilitate Waipahu Street between Kunia Road and Mahoe Street. (Completion by 8/02) DC

Curb ramp construction at various intersections. (Completion by 5/02) DC

It will start at Maunawili Elementary School along Kalanianaole Hwy (through Waimanalo), past Sandy Beach, to finish at Hanauma Bay Park entrance. GREAT ALOHA RUN 2002 sponsored by Great Aloha Run/Carole Kai Charities. The event is expected to have 26,000 runners. It will start on Nimitz Hwy. at Nuuanu Ave., to Nimitz Hwy., Ewa bound, to Kamehameha Hwy then under the H-1 viaduct, to Kamehameha Hwy., to Aloha Stadium service road into the main gate of Aloha Stadium,  to  finish in the north end zone of Aloha Stadium. OAHU PERIMETER RELAY RUN SERIES sponsored by the RRCA/Mid Pacific Road Runners Club. The event is expected to have 900 runners in relay teams. The event will start at Kalakaua Ave. fronting Queens Surf Pavilion., to Diamond Head Rd., to Kahala Ave., to Kealaolu Ave.,  to Kalanianaole Hwy., to Lunalilo Home Rd.,  to Hawaii Kai Dr., to Kealahou St., to Kalanianaole Hwy,. to Kailua Rd., to Kuulei Rd., to Kalaheo Ave., to Kaneohe Bay Dr. to Kamehameha Hwy., to Kaena Point access road,  to Farrington Hwy., to Lehua St., to PH bike path, to Arizona Memorial, to Kamehameha Hwy., to Center Dr.,  to Nimitz Hwy.,  - to bike path on mauka side of highway, to Nimitz Hwy., to Ala Moana Blvd., to Kalakaua Ave to finish line at the Queens Surf Pavilion.
