ROAD WORK, PARADES AND OTHER STREET ACTIVITIES

The departments of Facility Maintenance (^FM) and Design & Construction (^DC), and the Board of Water Supply (^WS) have scheduled the following roadwork for the week of June 16 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Estimated completion date is in parentheses.

New Projects:

Salt Lake: Salt Lake Boulevard Widening from Bougainville Drive to Maluna Street: Upgrade roadway to include 2 additional lanes in each direction and designated left and right turning lanes. Provide traffic controls, mass grading, temporary security fencing, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, curb ramps and property adjustments, including demolishing and reconstructing new structures and constructing new walls. Install drainage, water, sewer, traffic signal, streetlights, underground electrical system, oil lines, gas lines, pavement striping, markings and markers and traffic signs. ^DC

Continuing Projects:

Aiea: Construct new curb ramps, Laulima Street, Ualo Street, Koauka Loop and Street, Pali Momi Street at Moanalua Road. (Completion by 7/02) ^DC

Ewa Beach: Construct curb Ramps at Kilaha Street and North Road. ^DC

            Replace Laulaunui Street, West Loch Estates, sidewalks, curbs & gutters. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Hawaii Kai: Construct an eight-inch main along Hawaii Kai Drive, from Pohoiki Place to Pepeekeo Street, and four-inch mains along various side streets in between. In addition, construct a 12-inch main along Kawaihae Street from Kalanianaole Highway to May Way, and eight-inch mains along May Way from Maunalua Avenue to Makaniolu Place, and along the entire length of Makaniolu Place. (Completion by 12/02) ^WS

Honolulu: Install new water main on Dillingham Boulevard between Waiakamilo Road and Liliha Street. (Completion by 9/02) ^WS

            Reconstruct Alewa Drive and Alencastre Street. (Completion by 9/02) ^DC

            Construct curb ramps at various locations.

Kaneohe: Rehabilitation of Streets: 47-357 Ahuimanu Road, Hakuhale Street, Waipaipai Street, Henoheno Street & Henoheno Place, Waipua Place, Kinana Way, Ahulimanu Way, Ahuilimanu Place, Hio Place, Apau Loop, Apau Place, Poomau Street, Keohapa Place, Kapehe Street, Kialua Street, Hoopala Street, Hui Kelu Street & Hui Kelu Place, Hui Akiki Place, Hui Akepa Place and Miomio Loop. (Completion by July 2002) ^DC

Kapahulu: Rehabilitation of Mooheau Avenue. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Maili: Rehabilitate Ehu and Meaulu roads and Alapaki, Kakalena and Milikami streets. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Manoa-McCully: Rebuild Manoa Road, Oahu Avenue, Dole and McCully streets. ^DC

Pearl City: Reconstruct Waimano Home Road from Komo Mai Drive to end. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC

Salt Lake: Curb ramps at various locations. (Completion 11/02) ^DC

Sunset Beach: Install 12-inch to 16-inch water main along Kamehameha Highway from Paumalu Place to Kahae Road. (Completion by 12/02) ^WS

Waipahu: Rehabilitate Waipahu Street between Kunia Road and Mahoe Street. (Completion by 8/02) ^DC
