The departments of Facility Maintenance (FM) and Design & Construction (DC), and the Board of Water Supply (WS) have scheduled the following roadwork for the week of August 11 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Estimated completion date is in parentheses.

New Projects:

Aiea: Construct curb ramps, sidewalks and street lights at various locations, plus a traffic signal at Ulune and Wiliko streets. (Completion by 11/02) DC

Ewa Beach:  Construct curb ramps on Papipi Place and Road, Ihhipehu Street, Pohakupuna Road and Pohahawai Place and Street. (Completion by 121/02) DC

Hawaii Kai: Construct curb ramps,sidewalks, curbs and gutters on Lunalilo Home Road/Nawiliwili Street, Nawiliwili Street/Poipu Drive, Poipu Drive/Lunalilo Home Road, and Kawaihae Street/Hakalua Place. (Completion by 12/02) DC

Pearl City: Construct curb ramps at Auhuhu Street intersections with Aallii Place and Anini Place. (Completion by 12/02) DC

            Construct curb ramps and curb areas at Komo Mai Drive intersections with  Apoepoe Street, Akalala Street and Awahiwa Street. (Completion by 12/02) DC

Continuing Projects:

Hawaii Kai: Construct an eight-inch main along Hawaii Kai Drive, from Pohoiki Place to Pepeekeo Street, and four-inch mains along various side streets in between. In addition, construct a 12-inch main along Kawaihae Street from Kalanianaole Highway to May Way, and eight-inch mains along May Way from Maunalua Avenue to Makaniolu Place, and along the entire length of Makaniolu Place. (Completion by 12/02) WS

Honolulu: Install new water main on Dillingham Boulevard between Waiakamilo Road and Liliha Street. (Completion by 9/02) WS

            Reconstruct Alewa Drive and Alencastre Street. (Completion by 9/02) DC

            Construct curb ramps at various locations.

            Dole Street, McCully Street, University Avenue and Nuuanu Avenue are next on the schedule for reconstruction. Mooheau Avenue is being completed. (Completion by 10/02) DC

Kaneohe: Rehabilitation of Kamehameha Highway from Heeia Street to Long Bridge. (Completion by 8/02) DC

Mililani: Rehabilitate Kuahelani and Meheula avenues. (Completion by 1/03) DC

Moanalua: Install curb ramps, sidewalks, driveways, streetlights and traffic signal on Mahiole Street, Pineapple Place and Maalahi Street. (Completion by 11/02) DC

Nanakuli: Rehabilitate Hakimo Road, Laumania Avenue, Keaulana Avenue and Pohakunui Street. (Completion by 8/02) DC

Salt Lake: Curb ramps at various locations. (Completion 11/02) DC

            Salt Lake Boulevard Widening from Bougainville Drive to Maluna Street: Upgrade roadway to include 2 additional lanes in each direction and designated left and right turning lanes. Provide traffic controls, mass grading, temporary security fencing, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, curb ramps and property adjustments, including demolishing and reconstructing new structures and constructing new walls. Install drainage, water, sewer, traffic signal, streetlights, underground electrical system, oil lines, gas lines, pavement striping, markings and markers and traffic signs. (Completion by 6/04) DC

Wahiawa: Rehabilitation of Dole Road, Ilima Street, Kaliko Drive, Kilau Place, Lemi Street, Loko Drive, Loki Place, Mala Street, Neal Avenue, Olive Avenue, Plum Street, Puninoni Place, Rose Street

Waipahu: Construct improvements for Mokuola Street between Kahuailani Street and Nali Street, Hikimoe Street and Mokuola Street. (Completion by 10/02) DC
