ROAD WORK WEEKLY REPORT

Scheduled roadwork for week beginning September 8, 2002, for the Department of Design & Construction – Civil Design and Engineering (Construction Management Branch), Wastewater Design and Engineering (Construction Management Branch). Roadwork is normally done between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM unless otherwise noted.

AIEA

Curb Ramps – Hinu Place and Noelani Street, Kamahao Street and Noelani Street, Koaheahe Street and Noelani Street and Moanalua Road/Kaonohi Street/Moanalua Loop

Construct new curb ramps, sidewalks and driveways.  Install traffic signal and streetlight system, traffic signs, striping, markings and markers.

EWA BEACH

Localized pavement, curb ramp, striping and marker repairs at various areas.

HONOLULU

Ala Moana Boulevard Beautification, Kalia Road to Kalakaua Avenue:

Install new concrete sidewalk and curb ramps, new street lighting and traffic signal systems, and landscape planting and irrigation system. PROJECT SUSPENDED ~ WORK WILL RESUME IN AUGUST 2002

Punchbowl Street Improvements

Reconstruct curb ramps and restripe at King Street and Beretania Street intersection. PROJECT SUSPENDED ~ WORK WILL RESUME IN LATE 2002~

 

Rehabilitation of Streets - Mooheau Avenue, Monsarrat Avenue, Booth Road, Nuuanu Avenue, Dole Street and McCully Street:

            Reconstruct road pavement, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, curb ramps, driveways and drainage system. Relocate and/or adjust existing electrical facilities for HECO, Verizon, traffic signal, street light and appurtenances. Resurface, adjust manhole frame and cover to new grade and restripe.  **AREAS IN BOLD – INDICATE WORK IN PROGRESS FOR THIS WEEK**

Rehabilitation of Lusitania Street (Pauoa Road to Iolani Avenue): PROJECT SUSPENDED ~AWAITING CONSULTANT’S REVISIONS ~

Reconstruction of Streets – University Avenue (Sea View Avenue to Oahu Avenue), Old Pali Road.

            Reconstruct roadway pavement and base.  Adjust manhole frames and covers, street monument covers, and utility boxes to grade.  Install striping and pavement markers.

Salt Lake Boulevard Widening Bougainville Drive to Maluna Street:

Upgrade roadway to include 2 additional lanes in each direction, with designated left and right turning lanes. Provide traffic controls, mass grading, temporary security fencing, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, curb ramps and property adjustments, including demolishing and reconstructing new structures and constructing new walls. Install detention basins, drainage, water, sewer, traffic signal, streetlights, underground electrical system, oil lines, gas lines, pavement striping, markings and markers and traffic signs.
