ROAD WORK WEEKLY REPORT

Scheduled roadwork for the week beginning November 17, 2002, for the Department of Design & Construction. Roadwork is normally done between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM unless otherwise noted.

AIEA

Curb ramps —Ulune Street and Wiliko Street:  installing, striping, markings and markers.

                        Halawa Heights Road/Hale Mauna Place: construct new ramps, transitional sidewalks, crubs and gutters, pavement markings.
                                  (Estimated completion date, November 2002)

HONOLULU

Curb ramps – Pensacola Street/Wilder Avenue, Piikoi Street/Pensacola Street: construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs and gutters and pavement transitions.

 Curb ramps – Halemaumau Street/Niu Valley School, Halekamani Street/Halemaumau Street, Mapunapuna Street/Mokumoa Street, Nehoa Street/Poki Street, Anapuni Street/Nehoa Street:  construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs and gutters and pavement marking.

 Emergency sewer repair work on Kukui Street at College Walk.

Curb ramps – Adams Lane/Bishop Street, Alakea Street/Merchant Street, Alakea Street/Queen Street, Alakea Street between South King Street & South Beretania Street, Bethel Street/Chaplain Lane, Maunakea Street/North Pauahi Street, Bishop Street/Merchant Street, Bishop Street/Queen Street, Chaplain Lane/Nuuanu Avenue, Maunakea Street/North Kukui Street:  construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs,and gutters and pavement markings.

 Curb ramps – Paoa Place, Kapahulu Avenue/Ala Wai Golf Course entrance:  construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and pavement transitions.
                               (Estimated completion date, December 2002)

Rehabilitation of streets - Mooheau Avenue, Monsarrat Avenue, Nuuanu Avenue, Dole Street and McCully Street: reconstruct road pavement, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and driveways.  Construct curb ramps, bus pads and drainage system.  Relocate and/or adjust existing electrical facilities for HECO, Verizon, traffic signal, street light and appurtenances.  Resurface, adjust manhole frame and cover to new grade and restripe.  Install traffic signs.
                                     (Estimated completion date, April 2003)

Rehabilitation of sewer lines near HECO Honolulu Power plant, Aloha tower Drive (makai side of HECO Power plant).

KAILUA

Kainehe, Hamakua, & Keolu Reconstructed Sewer: CIP work on Kainehe Street and Keolu Drive; Shaft Construction and Microtunneling on Hamakua Drive.

Oneawa sidewalk improvements, Oneawa Street from Olomana Street to Kawainui Street: construct new asphalt concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, curbs and gutters and pavement markings.

KAIMUKI

Curb ramps – 13th Avenue and Mahina Avenue, 21st Avenue and Pahoa Avenue, Olokele Avenue and Winam Avenue:  install striping, markings and markers.

Curb ramps - Pahounui Drive/Mohonua Place, Pahounui Drive/Sand Island Access Road, Homerule Street/Puuhale Road, Libby Street/Republican Street:

Construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and pavement markings.

Curb ramps - Houghtailing Street/North King Street/Waiakamilo Road, Houghtailing Street and Olomea Street, Bernice Street and Houghtailing Street, Mookaula Street and Waiakamilo Road, Houghtailing and Monte Cooke Place, Houghtailing and Peter Buck, Houghtailing Street and Kohou Street, Koapaka Street/Lagoon Drive/Waiwai Loop:

Replace traffic signal system.  Construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs, gutters and pavement transition.  Install traffic signs, striping, markings and markers.  Localized  pavement, curb ramp, striping and marker repairs at various areas.

Rehabilitation of Streets, Unit 12B – Kuahelani Avenue and Meheula Avenue: construct new curb ramps, sidewalks, driveways.  Install traffic signal system, streetlight system, traffic signs, striping, markings and markers.

 

MOANALUA

Curb ramps – Mahiole Street (Mid-block) between Onipa’a Street and Pineapple Place, Maalahi Street and Mahiole Street: installing striping, markings and markers.

PEARL CITY

Rehabilitation of Streets, Unit 11B – Iho Place/Kaonohi Street, Kaonohi Place/Kaonohi Street, Kahapili Street/Kaonohi Street, Puailima Street/Kaonohi Street, Ualo Street/Kaonohi Street, Uao Place/Kaonohi Street:  construct new curb ramps, transitional sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and pavement transitions.

 

SALT LAKE

WAHIAWA

Rehabilitation of streets - Kaliko Drive, Dole Road, Rose Street, Loko Drive, Loki Place, Kilau Place, Plum Street, Neal Avenue, Lemi Street, Olive Avenue, Mala Street, Ilima Street: reconstruct and resurface roadways, adjust manholes, monuments and gratings to new road grade and restore pavement striping.

WAIPAHU

Curb ramps – Puamano Place and Waipahu Street:  installing striping, markings and markers.

Roadway improvements for Mokuola Street (Kahuailani Street to Nali Street):  reconstruct roadway pavement and base, curbs and gutters, sidewalks and driveway.  Install striping and pavement markings.  Pavement rehabilitation work on Hikimoe Street and Mokuola Street:  reconstruct roadway pavement, resurface and restripe.
