MAYOR ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS
Mayor Jeremy Harris announced today that Antonio J. Saguibo, Jr. has been appointed as the First Deputy of the City Department of Corporation Counsel.
Mr. Saguibo has represented the Laborer’s International Union of North America, local 368, AFL-CIO, on legal matters since 1997. He graduated from the California State University at Northridge in 1989 with a degree in political science, then obtained his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1993. He has been employed with private law firms both in Honolulu and California.
“I am pleased to have a person of Mr. Saguibo’s talent and experience in my cabinet,” the Mayor said. The new First Deputy Corporation Counsel will assume his new duties beginning on February 11.
The Mayor also recently appointed Eric G. Crispin as the Deputy Director of the Department of Design and Construction.
Crispin is a licensed architect in both Hawaii and Brazil and has served since 2000 in Hawaii as the Honorary Consul of Brazil. He was an associate architect with Group 70 International from 1985-1995, a senior architect with Leo A. Daly, Inc. from 1995-1997 and the Development Manager for Graham Murata Russell from 1997 until he joined the City in 2001.
