Sunset on the Beach returns to Waikiki this weekend after a very successful tour in Kailua. Thousands of Kailua residents hosted thousands of locals and visitors, at the City’s first “Rediscover Oahu” neighborhood event.
After his State of the City Address yesterday, Mayor Jeremy Harris reported, “This first effort in Kailua, I have to say, was a phenomenal success. To everybody that was involved, the Kailua Chamber of Commerce, all of our City people, ‘Congratulations’.”
This Saturday and Sunday, February 2 and 3, the production of live entertainment, food and movies at Queen’s Surf Beach features more bands at the Oldies 107.9 stage, favorite restaurants, and the blockbuster movie classics “Gold Finger” and “Casablanca” as feature films.
Chefs from restaurants such as the popular Scotty’s BBQ, Seafood Village, Pizza Hut, Auntie Pasto’s, Ft. Ruger Market and Skyline Café will once again serve a wide selection of pupus, entrées, desserts and beverages. And, there’s ice cream, popcorn and hot dogs for the movies from Royal Hawaiian Hot Dog, Popcorn Express, Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Beach House Beverage Cart.
Sunset on the Beach is sponsored by the City & County of Honolulu, Hawaii Restaurant Association, Waikiki Improvement Association, News 8, K5 The Home Team and Oldies 107.9.
