VISION RSVP DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SATURDAY
The City has extended the deadline until Saturday, June 1, for vision groups and Neighborhood Board members to send in their RSVP cards for the upcoming Islandwide Sustainability Workshop on the M/S Norwegian Star.
Invitations were sent out just before the Memorial Day weekend to those who have been participating in the community-based planning effort to attend a sustainability workshop Sunday, June 9, on board the Norwegian Star, Pier 10-11.
Because of security requirements and limited seating, participants must mail in their RSVP card no later than Saturday, June 1. They will receive a confirmation card which they must bring to the Alapai Street Parking Lot, where participants will board free shuttles to the ship.
All attendees must check in at the Alapai Parking Lot. No walk-ins will be allowed at the ship or at Aloha Tower.
The shuttles to Aloha Tower will run from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Self-guided tours are planned from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
The Sustainability Workshop will be held in the ship’s Stardust Theatre from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Shuttles will return participants to the Alapai Parking Lot from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m.
The City’s vision program was launched in September of 1998. Nineteen vision groups meet regularly in the community and have gathered at the Hawaii Convention Center for regional and other planning events.
