FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAYOR PROPOSES BUDGET COMPROMISE Mayor Jeremy Harris today presented to the City Council a budget compromise that addresses many of the concerns expressed by council members over the past two months. “We believe this compromise proposal deals with their concerns without the negative effects of the current City Council budget draft,” the Mayor said. “We are ready to work with council members in the weeks ahead to craft a final budget that protects services to the public.” “We have heard the council concerns but we have also heard from the public and this compromise responds to all those voices,” the Mayor added. -30- |
