Mayor’s Statement on Temporary Agreement
Mayor Jeremy Harris issued the following statement this morning:
“Our community has been greatly inconvenienced by this long strike. But it appears to be over and it’s time to get the buses rolling again.
“While we are still reviewing the temporary agreement, we are pleased there will be no salary increases for three years.
“I have said all along that I will not support wage increases for bus workers while I’m Mayor.
“Over the next few days, we will continue moving people around the city on our various van/bus shuttle programs as they have been critical in getting people to work, doctor’s appointments, the pharmacy and shopping.”
