 Honolulu City Lights Photo Opportunities
December 3 – 5, 2003

·        Wednesday, December 3 Big Tree decorating continues with more than 400 colorful ornaments placed on the city’s tree.  They include 36 sheets of music, 72 musical instruments (ukuleles, harps, saxophones, tubas) 160 musical notes and 85 jingle bells….theme this year is “Jingle All The Way.”

 ·        December 3 – 4 – Large displays continue to be transported from the Manana Warehouse to the Honolulu Hale for installation into the civic center lawn.

 ·        December 3 – 4 – It’s a new look for the interior courtyard.  We think the public will find viewing the various trees and displays a lot easier, faster and less stressful.  Employees from various departments place finishing touches on their trees in time for Friday’s Tree Topping Ceremony.   Each tree reflects this year’s theme.

 ·        11 a.m., Fri., Dec. 5  – Tree Topping Ceremony and Wreath Contest Awards.   Mayor tops the big tree on the front lawn of City Hall.  Wreath Contest winners are announced.
