NEWS RELEAS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HALAWA COMPLEX HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST
The city's Halawa Complex staff will be presenting their 2003 Halawa Complex Halloween Costume Contest on Friday, October 24, 2003, at Halawa District Park. About 200 children are anticipated to compete for prizes in three categories: Most Adorable, Most Creative and Most Halloween. There will be three age groups: Four years and under, Kindergarten to second grade and third to sixth grade. Registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. and costume judging will begin shortly thereafter. Each contestant will receive a goodie bag and participate in a "Trick 'O Treat Lane." The Halloween Costume Contest is presented each year by the employees and volunteers of the Department of Parks & Recreation's Halawa Complex, comprised of Fern Community Park, Halawa District Park, Moanalua Community Park and the Moanalua Pool.
