  KALIHI SEWER SPILL CONTAINED

           A 12-inch sewer line clogged with grease caused an estimated 2,000 gallons of wastewater to overflow a manhole at Kuhio Park Terrace and enter Kalihi Stream this morning.

           The spill occurred at 1485 Linapuni Street.  A city crew responded at 7:40 a.m. and stopped the spill at 10:00 a.m. 

           Warning signs have been posted along affected areas of the stream and water sampling has been done.  The State Department of Health has been notified of the incident.
