          Mayor Jeremy Harris announced today that more reservations will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. tomorrow only for expanded City Van services that will begin Thursday,  September 4.

           Additional seats have been made available on the service, which runs between the Chinatown Gateway Park downtown and the following areas:


·      Waianae Neighborhood Community Center (Satellite City Hall) (6:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.)*

·      Kapolei Transit Center   (6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.)*

·      Wahiawa –Fred Wright Park   (6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.)*

·      Waipahu –Hans L’Orange Park  ( 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.)*

·      Pearl City –Blaisdell Park   (6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.)*

·        Kaneohe District Park Skateboard area  (6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. and

       8:00 a.m.)*


*  Morning pickup times.


The vans will depart Chinatown Gateway Park to the outlying neighborhoods in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m.  City Van service at 5:30 p.m. will be replaced by the existing Limited Stop Express Bus Service, which uses school buses contracted by the City.  Reservations on the 5:30 p.m. City Van will be honored on the 5:30 p.m. Limited Stop Express Bus.  Those riding this express bus at 5:30 p.m. will be dropped off at the following locations:

·        Pearl City –Blaisdell Park

·        Windward City Shopping Center

·        Kaneohe District Park Skateboard area

·        Kailua (Kuulei Road in front of Kailua Police Station)

·        Mililani Park and Ride

·        Waikele Center

·        Ewa Beach Shopping Center

·        Waipahu --Filipino Community Center and Hans L’Orange Park

·        Kapolei Transit Center

·        Wahiawa –California Avenue and North Cane Street; and Fred Wright Park

·        Waianae Mall and Neighborhood Community Center (Satellite City Hall)

·        Hawaii Kai Park and Ride
