FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY NOW HIRING SUMMER STUDENT AIDES If you’re looking for a full-time summer job and enjoy working with children, you may be a candidate for the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation’s Summer Fun Program. Positions are available for immediate hiring. The program begins June 12 runs for seven weeks. Summer Fun is operated at more than sixty sites island-wide, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children range from five years through grade six. Summer Aides must be in college with at least 24 credit hours. They should enjoy leading recreational activities such as sports and games, music and dance and arts and crafts. Wages range from $7.50 to $8.50 per hour, depending upon experience.
