SUNSET ON THE BEACH WELCOMES THE SAN FRANCISCO FORTY-NINERS CHEERLEADERS
This weekend’s Sunset on the Beach will provide spectacular entertainment provided by some finalists of the popular Hawaii Stars television program plus a special appearance by the World Famous San Francisco Forty-Niners Cheerleaders. The Queen’s Surf Beach in Waikiki is where you ought to be this Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16 for Hawaii’s unique food-entertainment-movie festival on the beach.
The fun begins at 4 p.m. with Hawaiian music and live entertainment at 5 p.m. On Saturday, several Hawaii Stars finalists make a special appearance. Then at 6 p.m., Sunset on the Beach features the mesmerizing San Francisco Forty-Niners Cheerleaders.
On Sunday, radio station deejays engage the audience in fun and contests before bringing on the sounds of “Nightlife” from 5 to 6:45 p.m.
At 7:10 p.m., the big screen presents “Bend It Like Beckham” on Saturday. It’s a delightful movie sure to warm the hearts of young romantics.
On Sunday, get ready for zany Reese Witherspoon, as fashionable blonde lawyer, Elle Woods, in “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blue.” Witherspoon costars with Luke Wilson and Sally Field as she travels to Washington to lobby against animal testing.
Sunset on the Beach offers a variety of scrumptious gourmet delights, from appetizers to full-course meals. This weekend, participating restaurants include newcomer Royal Hawaiian Hot Dog & Shaved Ice, Paradise Water Ice/Na’ama Mediterranean Delights, Imari Bento & Okazu, Leo’s Traverna, K Restaurant, Time 2 Grind, Bale Sandwich & Restaurant, Popcorn Express and Mr. Pizza.
Novelty vendor Sami’s Blinkers and 16 “Made in Hawaii” crafters and artisans round out the variety of offerings at Sunset on the Beach. The craft fair begins at 9 a.m. and is open until 9 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
