 MAYOR HONORS WATER SAFETY OFFICERS IN AWARDS CEREMONY

            Mayor Jeremy Harris will recognize 12 Water Safety Officers in an Awards Ceremony tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. in his office.

            Water Safety Officers Ben Severson, Billy Goodwin and Fred Marumoto will receive Awards of Merit for their part in a dramatic rescue at Waimanalo Beach last year.

City Lifeguards James Barros, Timothy Brandon, Jay Fake, Cody Hesser, Jude Parker, Dwight Perkins, Jonathan Shirley, James Sloan and Sean Vandine will also be recognized as the first Hawaii Water Safety Officers to receive national recognition as Certified Emergency Medical Technicians – Basic (EMT-B).
