BOX JELLYFISH PROMPTS CLOSURE OF BEACH AT HANAUMA BAY

            Hanauma Bay is closed again today (Friday, January 16), this time because of an influx of Box Jellyfish.  The Hanauma Bay Nature Center will remain open, however.

            The bay was closed yesterday due to a disruption in electrical power.  It will reopen tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., conditions permitting.

            Those interested in the latest status on Hanauma’s operating hours are advised to call 396-4229.
