CITY TO BEGIN ROAD RESURFACING ON KAHEKA STREET

Motorists are advised that the City will begin resurfacing Kaheka Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from Tuesday, March 2 through Friday, March 5, weather permitting.

The project is a continuation of the Cityís emergency road work effort that has already resurfaced major portions of Beretania Street, Kapiolani Boulevard, Kalakaua Avenue and Young Street, and which will target other heavily traveled roadways in Honoluluís urban core.

The work on Kaheka Street will require closure of a portion of one lane of traffic in the construction area.  Off-duty police officers will assist motorists around the construction zones.  Permanent pavement striping, manhole adjustments and loop detector work will follow.
